Service Description
You have completed the 20-hour Remote First Aid in the past 12-months? You lead groups into the back-country? You like to venture to more remote places and overnight trips? This scenario based course assumes that emergency services will be challenged to reach you and that it may take longer to organize an emergency extraction. The course takes place outside and is NOT weather dependent. Bring a pack and dress for the weather. Also bring your certification and the CRC Wilderness First Aid field-book. This course covers all material in a Standard First Aid, with CPR C and AED, plus the anticipation that patient care may to extend >24-hours post incident/ injury. We will focus on prevention and explore options when cell phones fail.
