Service Description

Based on Intermediate First Aid, Remote First aid is for anyone who travels into the backcountry. RFA compliments to the other hard skills needed for safe wilderness travel. Skills are practices outdoors. Scenarios are designed to help you to make good decisions in situations where the arrival of outside help may be delayed by distance and conditions. THere is no prerequisite, but you will need to bring smoe gear, like a backpack with the 'wilderness essentials'. If you do not have the essentials, bring what you have, especially weather appropriate clothing and a waterproof outer layer. The course is largely held outdoors and it is NOT weather dependent. Lunch and extra food is part of a great plan and you are likely to get hungry. You will not need to bring the compass, map or a first aid kit. If you are feeling ill, please contact your instructor for a credit, but please, do not attend the session. Please, stay safe and be kind.
